The City of Perth Classic Car Parade 21st April

  • 150 of the UK’s best classic cars, dating from 1900 onwards , will leave from Scone Palace for Perth City Centre via the old Perth Bridge
  • The cars will be displayed at Tay street from mid morning for two hours for the public to get a close up view
  • There will be a running commentary from Col Alasdair Hutton (Edinburgh Tattoo) as the cars leave to return to Scone
  • HRH Prince Michael of Kent will view the cars in Tay Street and salute the cars at City Chambers as the cars start their return to Scone Palace
  • On their return the cars will pass over the Old Perth Bridge, preceded by a red flag as was required according to the 1879 sign located on the bridge (the red flag tradition will be celebrated as the cars pass)
  • First 150 cars will get Automatic Entry
  • Parade cars need to pay £50 minimum donation to charities
  • Continental Market will be staged at same day
