Entries will open on Monday 19th November 2019
You are invited to join this year’s Blairgowrie Rotary Classic Car Tour for classic and interesting cars of any age. The Tour is sponsored by Graham Environmental Services of Blairgowrie plus the supporting Award Sponsors.
We are hoping to have a maximum entry of fine cars and enthusiasts once again. The route will first go to Blairgowrie prior to heading towards Abernyte and Rait and driving over Dalreichmoor towards Balbeggie and Scone. At Perth Airport participants will view a magnificent display of classic vehicles which form part of a private collection and refreshments will be available.
The afternoon drive will be through scenic parts of the Angus Glens, Glenshee and over Moulin Moor to Pitlochry for High Tea in the Atholl Palace Hotel
Entrants to the Blairgowrie Classic Car Tour are asked to donate a minimum of £50 to support this year’s chosen charities. Your support at the 2017 and 2018 Drive-It Days was amazing. Average donations per car were £126 with one entry producing no less than £2,060 and another £1,000.
Ask your friends and family/business colleagues to sponsor your car or you may prefer to make a personal donation which is to be donated to the Rotary Club of Blairgowrie Benevolent Fund (Scottish Charity Account No SC007681) for distribution to the following principal charities below.
In addition donations can be increased in value by 25% if you are a tax payer and tick the Gift Aid Box when completing the Sponsorship Form. Note you must include your home postcode as a minimum for this to be effective.
The weekend is designed to raise much needed funds for Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) and Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS). 10 per cent of funds raised will be allocated to Rotary’s own world wide charity. Car entrants are asked to collect in advance as much as they can for these charities and the collectors will be out in force at Perth Airport asking for your support.
