Rotary International is an international service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. It is a secular organization open to all people regardless of race, colour, creed, religion, gender, or political preference. There are 34,282 member clubs worldwide. 1.2 million individuals called Rotarians have joined these clubs.
The Blairgowrie Rotary Club, just like all the other 34,000 clubs worldwide in Rotary International, supports local, national and international causes. We have recently donated funds to the Bookmark book festival, Blairgowrie High School, Alyth flood relief and Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance as well as school building in Nepal.
We arrange various events during the year, often with fundraising in mind but always full of fellowship and fun. Recent examples are the Classic Car Tour, annual Charity Golf Day and Burns Night Supper.
In Blairgowrie we meet weekly to share friendship and a meal and usually have a guest speaker. The talk can be on any subject and may relate to fund raising projects we support.
Why not come along and meet us at The Milton Royal Hotel, any Wednesday at 6pm. You may already know one of our members in which case have a word with them. Or you can leave a note at the Royal Hotel addressed to the President, Rotary Club of Blairgowrie, or contact Liz Mason (Secretary) on 01250 870578 or use our contact form.
” We look forward to meeting you”
